Katie LeCluyse , Ph.D.
  Katie LeCluyse, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist who received her doctorate from the University of New Orleans. She spent two years in postdoctoral training in the Behavioral Pediatric Department at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. She specializes in assessment and intervention with children and adolescents. Her areas of interest include anxiety, OCD, behavior management, adjustment issues, ADHD, social skills intervention and parent training.
   
Allan Schmidt , Ph.D.
  Allan Schmidt, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist in Kansas and Missouri. Since receiving his Ph.D. in 1982, he has worked in a variety of settings with a wide range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, families and couples. He specializes in the assessment of those with suspected ADHD. He offers consultations, testing, treatment and coaching services. Avner Stern , Ph.D.
  Avner Stern, Ph.D. is a licensed Psychologist (KS & MO). He received his doctorate from University of Missouri-Columbia in 1978, and completed the Postgraduate Diagnostic Program at the Menninger School of Psychiatry and Mental Health Sciences. Prior to establishing Behavioral Health Specialists with his colleagues, Dr. Stern was Director of ADHD and Learning Disability Services at Crittenton Behavioral Health, and Director of Doctoral Intern Training and Clinical Services at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Counseling Center. His specialty areas include the clinical assessment and management of attention deficit and learning disorders, and diagnostic and psychoeducational assessment in children, adolescents, and adults. He currently serves as consultant to the Missouri Board of Law Examiners, and is on the professional advisory board of the Learning Disability Association of Kansas.
   
Stephen Lassen , Ph.D.
  Dr. Lassen is a licensed psychologist and received his Ph.D. in Clinical Child Psychology from the University of Kansas in 2006. He completed his residency in Clinical Child Psychology/Pediatric Psychology at Harvard Medical School and his postdoctoral fellowship in Pediatric Psychology at the University of Washington School of Medicine.

Dr. Lassen specializes in the care of children with chronic or life-limiting illnesses and their families. In addition, his practice includes children and adolescents with depression, anxiety disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, ADHD, posttraumatic stress disorder, and a range of child behavior concerns. In addition to his practice with Behavioral Health Specialists, Inc., Dr. Lassen is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

   
Michelle Coker , Ph.D.
  Michelle Coker, Ph.D. is a licensed Psychologist (KS & MO). She received her doctorate from University of Arkansas in 1999. She is a former president of the Kansas Psychological Association and has served on the Governor’s Mental Health Task Force. Dr. Coker’s specialty areas include assessment and intervention with children of all ages, from age 3 to adolescents. She also works with adults, families, and schools to resolve a multitude of issues that impact daily living, such as anxiety, anger, fears, depression, attention, behavior, and problems that affect learning.
   
Social Workers
Anne Schmidt , LSCSW
  Anne Schmidt, MSW. is a licensed specialist clinical social worker. She received her Masters in social work from the University of Windsor in 1980. She has extensive experience in the area of addictions, having worked in inpatient and outpatient settings at Henry Ford Hospital and Yale University. She has been in Private practice in the Kansas City area since 1993. She works with adolescents, their families as well as adults.She is experienced in helping patients resolve depression and anxiety including OCD, social anxiety, phobias and panic attacks. She also treats eating disorders and other compulsive disorders. She provides marital and family therapy and continues to expand her knowledge and training in each of the above areas.
   
Linda Crolley , LSCSW
  Linda Crolley is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (KS & MO). She received her Masters of Science in Social Administration in 1995 from Case Western Reserve University (Ohio), where she also served as an adjunct profession and field supervisor. As a clinical social worker and mental health director for 10 years at the VA Medical Centers both in Ohio and Kansas City, Linda went into private practice in 2003. She provides individual, couple, and family therapy for adults and teenagers. Her practice includes the treatment and coaching of teenagers and adults with Attention Deficit Disorder. She also presents seminars (see the information on the website). Her expertise expands in many other areas of mental health: men's and women's issues, life coaching, grief and loss, mood disorders (such as depression and anxiety, anger management, marital therapy, addictive relationships, domestic violence, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, including military related PTSD.
   
Diane Sinclair-Smith , MA MFT
  Diane Sinclair-Smith, MA MFT, is a Licensed Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist (KS & CA). She received her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1991. She has been in private practice settings since 1992. She specializes in pre-marital, & divorce recovery counseling. She is certified in the Prepare/Enrich Relationship Inventory and has completed the Marital Therapy course by the Gottman Institute. She also provides therapy for individuals experiencing mood disorders, grief/loss,adults with eating disorders, men's & women's issues, spiritual issues, and inner healing.
   
Kyle Roste , LSCSW, LCSW
  Kyle Roste, LSCSW, LCSW, is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and is licensed in Kansas and Missouri. He received his Masters in Social Work from the University of Kansas in 1998. Kyle has extensive experience in Family Therapy, Marriage Counseling, Addictions, and various mental health problems.

Kyle draws from his past experience in working as a Team Leader in the inpatient substance dependence setting at North Star Recovery Services, and numerous out patient settings including Community Mental Health Centers and developing programs within the Managed Care setting. Kyle trains Masters level therapists throughout the country in the Functional Family Therapy Model, through his position as a National FFT Consultant (Functional Family Therapy).

He also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Kansas Masters of Social Work Program. These past and current experiences are integral to Kyle’s growth as a professional in his areas of expertise…Family Therapy, Marriage Counseling, Addictions, Couples Therapy and Chronic Mental Health Issues.

   
Catherine Lewis , LSCSW
  Catherine has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families for over 20 years. She offers treatment in the areas of grief, trauma, mood disorders, attachment issues, develpmental, and behavioral issues. She is also a Level I Theraplay Practitioner. She is able to connnect with all ages and stages in a respectful and direct manner and is appreciative of all they teach her.

Catherine received her masters degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri and Kansas, and has practiced in a variety of clinical settings with diverse populations.
