Teresa Huff-Pomstra, Ph.D.

Dr. Teresa Huff-Pomstra is a licensed psychologist in Kansas and Missouri, and earned
her doctorate in Counseling Psychology at the University of North Dakota.

 

Prior to becoming a psychologist, her career included positions in community mental health,
higher education, and religious communities, giving her extensive experience in connecting and working with a wide variety of people and concerns.

 

Dr. Teresa’s areas of clinical interest include anxiety, depression, attachment and relationship issues, spiritual/religious concerns including religious trauma, and LGBTQ issues, particularly
with LGBTQ folx who identify as religious or spiritual and face challenges navigating that space.

 

She works from a strengths-based, collaborative place, encouraging clients to explore, trust, and develop insight into themselves while incorporating new ways of seeing and accepting challenges. She believes the therapist-client relationship is key to change and growth, and prioritizes developing warmth and trust. In addition to therapy,
