Julie Pieri, LSCSW

Julie Pieri is a licensed clinical social worker in Kansas and Missouri. She earned a master degree with a clinical focus in social work from Kansas University in 2010 and a bachelor degree in psychology from UMKC in 2001. In 2019, she began using Neurofeedback and is BCIA board certified in neurofeedback. Her experience spans across diverse age groups from children to older adults. This experience includes outpatient neurofeedback, individual and family therapy, facilitating group therapy, and providing psychoeducation. This breadth of work deepened her understanding of the nuances involved in treating trauma and enhancing social functioning for clients in various stages of life.

Julie’s approach to therapy is supportive, holistic and direct focusing on individual needs and strengths with curiosity and humor ensuring each client receives tailored interventions to address their unique needs. Her goal is to provide compassionate, motivational and innovative interventions to alleviate trauma and facilitate change empowering individuals to lead happy productive lives.

 

She has successfully utilized CBT, DBT, EMDR, mindfulness and neurofeedback to address PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, addiction, sleep issues, life change/ stressors, depression, cognitive issues, and behavioral issues to improve individual’s lives.

Neurofeedback is a powerful, non-invasive, medication-free intervention in which the brain learns to self-regulate and optimize functioning which reduces or eliminates bothersome symptoms.
